The Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program was inspired by the legacy of the late Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., president of the University of Notre Dame from 1952 – 1987. Father Hesburgh was an eminent educator and tireless advocate of social justice whose extraordinary commitment to make a difference in the world forever changed the University of Notre Dame.
