The Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program (HYSP) is a highly selective scholarship and leadership development program for students who are passionate about making a difference in the world. Please view the selection criteria for our Program.

New this year:

Notre Dame Undergraduate Admissions will identify outstanding candidates for the Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program from the entire pool of Restrictive Early Action admitted students (exceptional Regular Decision candidates will also be considered, if they submit a complete application by January 1).

Candidates selected by Admissions for HYSP consideration will be invited to submit an HYSP supplemental application in January. When semifinalists are determined from that pool (late February), HYSP will select finalists to come to campus to interview for HYSP in late March.

There will be no separate counselor nomination, recommendations, or HYSP application due November 15th.

The Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program manages the review of all HYSP semifinalists and will select finalists to be invited to campus for our interviews March 25-28, 2017.
