Kathleen Brennan '15 Receives Invitation to the Ireland 2016 Diaspora Gala

Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program alumna Kathleen Brennan received an invitation from the Irish government to attend the Ireland 2016 Diaspora Gala in Dublin on March 16. She will join Professor Briona Nic Dhiarmada and other Notre Dame representatives as well as Irish President Higgins, dignitaries, Liam Neeson and many more at a red carpet event where the film version of 1916 The Irish Rebellion will premier.

Kathleen Brennan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May 2015 with a major in Sociology and minors in Irish Studies and Irish Language and Literatures. She spent her Hesburgh-Yusko Scholar Program Professional Venture Summer working with the Keough Naughton Institute for Irish Studies on its 1916 The Irish Rebellion documentary. She is currently a graduate student at Queen’s University Belfast where she is working on a M.A. in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice.
